Navajo Nation Rug PTX

Handwoven Navajo wool rug featuring a horizontal composition of arched serrated bands across a natural ivory wool field. The design incorporates alternating stepped and comb-like geometric forms rendered in red, brown, and black wool. Two small geometric medallion forms appear in the central field, adding visual balance to the sweeping serrated bands that span the rug. Narrow border bands in red and brown frame the composition along each side. The restrained palette of natural wool tones combined with bold red and dark accents is characteristic of mid-20th century Navajo trading-post weaving traditions.
